Pengaruh Fear of Missing Out di Tempat Kerja terhadap Konsentrasi Karyawan

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital meningkatkan penggunaan media sosial dan mendorong munculnya Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) di tempat kerja yang berpotensi mempengaruhi konsentrasi kerja pada karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh Fear of Missing Out di tempat kerja terhadap konsentrasi karyawan. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 125 karyawan dengan teknik Accidental Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu Workplace Fear of Missing Out Scale dan Skala zur Erfassung von Aufmerksamkeitsproblemen. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana dan berganda. Hasil menunjukkan Fear of Missing Out di tempat kerja berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap konsentrasi kerja (B = 0.351; t = 3.238; p < 0.05) dengan kontribusi sebesar 7.9%. Secara spesifik, aspek relasi eksklusi berpengaruh terhadap konsentrasi kerja (B = 0.574; β = 0.246; t = 2.125; p = 0.036), sedangkan informationalclusion tidak berpengaruh (p = 0.589). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa FoMO di tempat kerja tidak selalu berdampak negatif, tetapi dalam konteks tertentu dapat berkaitan dengan peningkatan keterlibatan perhatian karyawan. Oleh karena itu, organisasi perlu mengelola komunikasi digital agar konsentrasi kerja karyawan tetap terjaga.
