Abstract

Penggunaan cadar di kalangan perempuan Muslim berkembang sebagai praktik keagamaan sekaligus ekspresi identitas sosial yang dipengaruhi oleh dinamika budaya dan media digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penggunaan cadar dalam konteks ibadah, motivasi individual, representasi di media sosial, serta implikasinya terhadap hukum keluarga Islam. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi literatur dengan menelaah sumber fikih, pandangan ulama kontemporer, dan kajian akademik yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan cadar tidak dapat dipahami semata-mata sebagai simbol kesalehan, tetapi juga sebagai praktik identitas yang dibentuk oleh aspirasi spiritual, lingkungan sosial, dan representasi digital. Dalam konteks keluarga, pilihan tersebut dapat memengaruhi relasi gender, negosiasi hak individu, dan pengambilan keputusan domestik. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya pembacaan fikih keluarga yang lebih kontekstual agar mampu merespons perubahan sosial tanpa mengabaikan prinsip normatif Islam. Penelitian ini juga menekankan pentingnya dialog mengenai otoritas, hak perempuan, dan kebebasan beragama dalam masyarakat Muslim kontemporer.
