Abstract

Abstract: Maksimal This study aims to design and develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based environmental monitoring system for poultry farms that can monitor ammonia gas levels, temperature, and humidity in real-time. The main problem in poultry farming is the high concentration of ammonia gas and unstable environmental conditions, which can negatively affect the health and productivity of the chickens. The system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller as the main processing unit, an MQ-135 sensor to detect ammonia gas, and a DHT11 sensor to measure temperature and humidity. The collected data is transmitted to IoT platforms such as Blynk or ThingSpeak for real-time monitoring, In addition to monitoring, the system is equipped with actuators including a fan, incandescent lamp, and buzzer that operate automatically based on environmental conditions. The fan is used for cooling, the lamp functions as a heater, and the buzzer serves as an early warning alarm when hazardous conditions occur. The research method used is engineering research with an experimental approach, including system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation,The results indicate that the system is capable of accurately monitoring the environmental conditions of the poultry house and providing automatic responses to abnormal conditions. This system is expected to assist farmers in maintaining optimal environmental quality, improving livestock health, and increasing poultry farm productivity
