Analisis Konsumsi Daging Sapi di Indonesia

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi konsumsi daging sapi di Indonesia, dengan fokus khusus pada Provinsi Papua Barat. Konsumsi daging sapi merupakan salah satu indikator penting dalam mengukur kesejahteraan dan pola konsumsi masyarakat. Namun, konsumsi tersebut dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor seperti pendapatan, harga daging sapi, harga komoditas substitusi dan komplementer, serta preferensi konsumen. Seiring dengan modernisasi dan peningkatan pendapatan, pola konsumsi masyarakat cenderung berubah ke arah pola konsumsi bergaya hidup Barat yang lebih tinggi dalam konsumsi produk hewani. Pemerintah memegang peran penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan antara konsumsi dan produksi guna mendukung swasembada daging sapi. Oleh karena itu, kajian ini penting sebagai dasar dalam merumuskan kebijakan pangan dan strategi pembangunan peternakan yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan data panel dari 34 provinsi selama periode 2018–2023 untuk mengidentifikasi variabel-variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi daging sapi.
